We literally have hundreds of unique birds, mammals, and sea creatures you can see on any given day. Dolphins, sea turtles, and manatees are very common and some of the most exciting creatures we get to see! Sometimes we get to see manta rays and sharks. When we get really lucky, we can see a mola mola or a right whale!
The amount of bird life we have is astounding. We commonly see pelicans, egrets, ospreys, gulls, herons, terns, cormorants, anhingas, and sand pipers. We also sometimes see white pelicans, magnificent frigate birds, rosette spoonbills, kingfishers, gannets, and bald eagles.
If you have a keen eye, you might see an eagle ray jumping, a spinner shark doing acrobatics in the air, or big mackerel busting bait fish.
We don’t stop at the large creatures, however, we love to show you what often goes unseen! We will look for jelly fish and sargassum grass while we are riding along. If we find a cannon ball jelly, we will scoop it up to show you the symbiotic relationships it has with other amazing creatures. If we find sargassum grass, we will show you the world that lives within. When we look in cracks and crevices, we find crustaceans and other interesting creatures.
Giant schools of bait fish are astonishing and your Captain may toss a net in so you can see them up close and personal! You get to witness nature in its wild form and every day struggles. You might see pelicans and gannets bombing bait fish that dolphins have rounded up. You might see sea turtles munching on jellyfish. In the shadows, you might see snook and jacks ambushing mullet. We have life everywhere and it is truly WILD!
